With effect from 20 November 2006, the Consulate General of India will ONLY accept
applications for visa by mail/courier. (Only persons holding Pakistani passports and Foreigners of
Pakistani origin, Bangladeshi Passport holders and Czech nationals need to apply personally.)
All applicants are required to send a separate pre-paid self addressed envelope along with each
application to enable the Consulate General of India to mail the passport back to them at their
respective addresses.
You ahould staple photos and draft/money order with the application form. Exact visa fees should be
paid in by Money Order/bank draft drawn in favour of the Consulate-General of India, Toronto.
The embassy has jurisdiction over
the following areas:
Ontario and Quebec (except places falling under the jurisdiction
of HCI, Ottawa), Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia,
Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.
If you are not resident in one of these areas, you must
make your application to an alternative Indian Mission.
High Commission of India, Ottawa: National Capital region
of Ottawa-Hull, Kingston, Comwall, Hawksbury, Arnprior,
Renfrew, Perth Prescott, Brockville, Carleton Place, Smith
Falls, Morrisburg (Ontario), Montreal (Quebec).
Consulate General of India, Vancouver: Saskatchewan,
Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon Territory and Northwest
Territories.
Application forms must be fully completed and signed,
and presented with
1. Passport, valid for a minimum of six months
2. Two photographs.
3. Persons of Indian origin who are applying for visa
must submit their Canadian passport with last Indian visa
endorsement or their previous Indian passport (cancelled
or otherwise) and Landing paper.
